Summer is the time for getaways, and we especially love road trips that end with camping!

Everyone has a different idea of what camping means. You might be a no-frills camper who hikes through the woods with just the essential gear, sleeping in the grass under the stars. Or maybe you’re a tent camper, who likes to rough it with a vinyl roof over your head!

Of course, you could be a “glamper,” who likes a door between you and the bears at night. And maybe running water!

Regardless of your style, we all know that camping is about two primary things: nature and snacks. And if you’re out enjoying nature, you would much rather be exploring or swimming than waking up early to cook a big breakfast!

One of our favorite camping recipes is this one for Double Cheese Breakfast Burrito. Breakfast burritos are perfect for camping, because:

  • They can be made at home before you leave for your trip
  • You can pack them full of protein and carbohydrates for mega-energy
  • They can be customized for picky eaters and special diets
  • They keep well in a cooler and can be quickly reheated over a campfire, on a grill, or in the microwave, if you have one
  • Uh, they’re delicious!

Here are a few of our other go-to recipes for packing up to bring camping:
