Makes about 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups plain yogurt, drained
- 1/2 cup seedless cucumbers, peeled and diced small
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon mint, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- Dash cayenne pepper
Directions
- Strain the yogurt through a cheesecloth for a ½ hour. Mix in the cucumbers, garlic, mint, cumin, salt, pepper, and cayenne, and serve.

Can I use real Greek yogurt (21 or so grams protein per cup) and skip the step of straining?
