Boulevardier

Makes 1 serving

This drink is a cousin of the Negroni, replacing gin with bourbon. You can also add your own fun twist to this cocktail by replacing the Campari with other bitters like Gran Classico, Cynar, Cardamaro, Aperol, Ramazzotti, Averna, Nonino, Suze, or Bruto Americano.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz Campari
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Orange twist, for serving and garnish

Directions

  1. In a pitcher or other high-rimmed glass container, add all the ingredients, a few ice cubes, and stir to combine. Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice.
  2. Zest an orange twist over the cocktail so that the essential oils spray into the cocktail. Rub the rim of the glass with the skin side of the twist and then drop it into the cocktail for garnish, and serve.
