Visit the CIA’s main campus in Hyde Park and you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the Hudson Valley’s thriving food community. The region boasts a bounty of CIA alumni-owned restaurants and small-batch producers. Wineries and craft breweries intermingle with passionate producers of bean-to-bar chocolate, distilled spirits, and artisanal cheeses.
The moment you step on the CIA campus you’ll catch culinary fever! As you walk around campus, you’ll feel like you’re a college student again, but don’t worry, you’re here to just have fun. Take a tour of the campus led by a student, dine in one of our five on-site restaurants, attend an event, or take a class with our expert instructors! The atmosphere on campus is dynamic, and your experience will be incredible.
Here’s a sampling of the types of classes we offer in Hyde Park:
At our main campus—where CIA Boot Camps were born—we offer a special opportunity to work with the freshest Hudson Valley produce and products in a gorgeous setting that feels a little like Hogwarts on Hudson. And you’ll be cooking and baking in the same kitchens where our world-famous graduates got their start.
Have a day free and want to do something fun and satisfying? Come play with food and learn from the best in the famed kitchens of the CIA. Our One-Day Classes explore a variety of topics like grilling, global street foods, healthy cooking at home, chocolate, and holiday baking, all through the lens of the Hudson Valley’s prime ingredients.
Enhance your knowledge of wine and discover the joys of perfect wine and food pairings in our “tasty” wine classes. Or, if you want to take your passion for food and turn it into a profitable part- or full-time business, we have a class that will get you started on your journey!
Shared experiences are the best way to connect with family and friends. Why not spend time together in the fun and fabulous kitchens at the CIA. Choose from a wide variety of special classes offered to parents, teens, and kids.
Make holidays fun for you and your family. You’ll all have a ball creating Spooktacular cupcakes for Halloween or building and decorating your own gingerbread house—the perfect holiday table centerpiece. Or, get ready to entertain your guests in one of our holiday cookies and pies classes for adults.
